Mindy Messick has been made the Spark of the Month at Boundary Community Hospital.
Messick is a nurse at the Rural Health Clinic.
“The care and compassion that Mindy [Messick] provides patients each day is impressive and admirable,” BCH officials announced. “She repeatedly goes the extra mile to care for our patients, assisting with scheduling specialty care, helping in finding financial and special aid, consoling those who have lost a loved one, and many other benevolent and selfless acts.”
“Thank you, Mindy, for being a great example of a true BCH Spark,” officials wrote.
BCH’s SPARK program (Special Appreciation and Recognition Program) recognizes staff monthly for their special efforts to enhance the patient experience, promote safety and positive outcomes, or go above and beyond to help a team member.
