Matthee is a person of real integrity

| September 26, 2024 1:00 AM

The political climate in our country is such that I marvel at the fearless people who possess the courage and commitment to run for office, motivated to represent us fairly and work to make our lives better.

We are fortunate that such a candidate has stepped up to run for Legislative District 1 House seat B, recently vacated by Sage Dixon. She is Kathryn Larson. You can learn about her in several ways: her short video on YouTube (just type in her name), her well-designed website Kathryn Larson for Idaho, or maybe you'll be lucky enough to meet her in person, at a county fair, or the farmers market. She spends most of her time meeting people in both counties, to learn about the values and concerns. It is a time-consuming process but the best way to learn what is important to people who live here.

She is running because she loves this community and feels strongly that she can represent ALL of us. Her goal is to "bring balance back to North Idaho." Schools must be adequately funded and our local economy support the folks who live and work here. In the legislature, she would utilize skills honed in the business world, such as negotiation and consensus building.

I know her to be a person of real integrity. She is smart, fair, and has good energy. Kathryn has an analytical mind, useful for problem-solving. And she is adept at bringing people together to craft solutions. We need her. I hope you'll join me in voting for Kathryn Larson, District 1, House seat B.
