PREP WRESTLING: Four Badgers win weight classes at Conrad Garner

BOYS

BONNERS FERRY — Stryder Liermann was locked in.

The Bonners Ferry High junior, wrestling at 138 pounds, won his opening bout by a 15-0 technical fall and pinned in his opponents in both the semifinal and championship match to take home gold at the Badgers' home tournament, the Conrad Garner Invitational, held this past Friday and Saturday.

Sophomore Taylor Dodd (285) was also impressive over the weekend, winning his opening bout by first round pin and then the championship match by a 7-0 decision.

Jacob Solt (175) went 2-1 with two pins and placed third while Hunter Pope (144) and Hudson Krejci (113) both finished with a record of 2-2 and placed fourth in their respective weight classes for Bonners Ferry, which finished fifth out of six scoring teams.

The Badgers host Post Falls for senior night tonight.

GIRLS

BONNERS FERRY — Nevaeh Therrien (107) and Sofia Brown (138) both continue to be forces to be reckoned with among the North Idaho girls' wrestling scene.

Therrien won both of her bouts, one by a 19-4 technical fall and the other by a 13-9 decision, Brown won both of hers by way of first round pins, and the two both won their weight classes to lead the Lady Badgers at the Conrad Garner Girls Invitational held this past Friday and Saturday at Bonners Ferry High.

Aubree Graves (120) and Kylie Calderone (100) both won one match each and placed second, Melody Graves (114) won one and placed fourth for Bonners Ferry, which placed third out of five scoring teams.

The Lady Badgers host Post Falls for senior night tonight.
