Boundary County Commissioners seek applicants to serve on the Waterways Board
Boundary County is seeking letters of interest from qualified individuals interested in volunteering as a Boundary County Waterways Board member. This Board is advisory to the Boundary County Board of Commissioners and terms consist of three years. A candidate must be able to attend monthly Waterways Advisory Board meetings every third Thursday of each month. The purpose of the Waterways Board is as follows:
1. To recommend long-range general direction and goals related to the County’s waterways facilities,
2. To act as a point of liaison with the public on matters concerning the County’s waterways and waterway facilities,
3. To recommend funding priorities for waterways projects and programs to the Board of County Commissioners,
4. To investigate specific problem areas and potential fund requirements as may be assigned by the Board of County Commissioners.
If you are interested in a position, please submit a letter explaining why you are interested in becoming a Waterways Board member and include what qualifications you feel you can provide to the board. Letters of interest should be sent to the Boundary County Commissioners’ Office at P.O. Box 419, Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805 or emailed to: commissioners@boundarycountyid.org. Letters of interest will be accepted until March 7.
