BONNERS FERRY – The Bonners Ferry Badgers (15-0) defeated the Logos Knights (8-6) for the second time this season in a Jan. 20 home game.

Senior guard Asher Williams led the way with 37 points. He’s averaging 35 points per game over the last five games, which includes his two career-best scoring efforts, 45 points against Libby and a school-record 50 points against Timberlake.

Thomas Bateman also contributed 20 points in the game. He is now just 121 points away from reaching 1,000 career points. Williams is 181 points away from 2,000 career points.

The Badgers had held opponents to just 30.2 points per game in the previous five games before allowing 60 in the win against Logos. Coach Nathan Williams said he did not like how the team coasted after jumping out to an early 23-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.

“We had low energy, and I hope we are not fighting sickness,” Williams said.
