USPS begins search for new Moyie Springs post office site

MOYIE SPRINGS — The U.S. Postal Service is seeking the community's input as it begins the process to search for and potentially relocate the Moyie Springs post office.

The post office is currently located at 3197 Roosevelt Road and USPS officials are seeking community input regarding the future location.

The proposed project includes searching for a new, suitable, site within two miles of the current post office and conducting a smooth transition with limited disruption in services.

Customers living and working within the service area should receive postcards in the mail containing information on how to provide comments. The postcards will also have information regarding the specific size and needs of the Postal Service.

Comments will be accepted through April 11, 2025, a 45-day period. Comments may be sent to: United States Postal Service, Attn: Moyie Springs, ID Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.

After the 45-day comment period, the Postal Service will consider suggestions and make a final determination on next steps.

The Postal Service is in the early stages of this project, and there is not yet a projected end date.
