Beta Sigma Phi donates to BFHS jazz band trip

Members of the Xi Beta Omicron chapter of Beta Sigma Phi recently the BFHS jazz band rehearsal with a gift for the band.
The ladies presented band director Mallerie Moore with a check to help cover expenses for the band's trip to Moscow next month as they participate in the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival.
The band members have held several fundraisers, and various local organizations have made donations to make the trip possible. This band, other bands and music classes, drama, robotics, athletics and more are dependent on a large portion of their funding from M&O levies.
That levy and a bond election to build a new elementary school are on the ballot on May 20, Beta Sigma Phi members said.
