Wenk winds up
 for the spike

The Lady Badgers had a great turnout at this year’s Volley for the Cure. They beat Clark Fork in four sets, but more importantly they helped raise a substantial sum of money for The Bonners Ferry Women’s Cancer Support and Education Group, which gives vouchers to families and fighters in order for them to make hospital appointments and receive treatments. Bonners Ferry won the first two sets handily, 25-16 and 25-18, lost the third set 18-25, and came back to win the match in the last set 25-20. Bateman had 14 assists and Wenk had 11 kills. Other scoring: Whittaker with 4 aces, Bennett with 15 digs, and Pluid with 4 blocks. Coack Kendra Maas was overjoyed by the amount of fans that came out to support her players as well as the cause. She told the Herald: “We appreciate this community and the support they give us at every game. So, from the bottom of my heart I want to thank them all!”
