Photo by MANDI BATEMAN On April 17, Brian Zimmerman, right, was sworn in as the new Bonners Ferry police chief by Bonners Ferry Mayor David Sims. The appointment follows the April 13 resignation of the former Chief of Police, Vic Watson. Zimmerman began his law enforcement career in Bonners Ferry in 1981. After being sworn in, he said to the city council and audience, “It is good to be home.” A profile of Zimmerman will appear in next week’s Herald.
