The mother robin typically lays four eggs and sits on them for 12 to 14 days until hatched. She rarely leaves her nest for more than 5 to 10 minutes.

Robin eggs: As blue as the sky!
Robins lay three to five beautiful blue eggs and generally raise two broods of babies each summer. Robins often stay in the same area all year.
