Spot Bus ridership was down for 2020. Not a surprise to anyone due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but what was surprising was the high percentage: ridership was down by 44%.

Life saving nasal spray

According to the Boundary County Public Information Officer Michael Meier, the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office is equipping Patrol and Detention Deputies with Narcan Nasal Spray. The nasal spray is used to potentially save the life of anyone experiencing an opioid overdose. The Narcan Nasal spray and training were made possible through a grant offered by the Idaho Office of Drug Policy.

Improving veterans' access to care

åIdaho veterans and their family members have made it clear that the Veterans Choice Program (Choice program), created to make it easier for veterans to get health care, does not work for Idahoans. To address concerns raised by Idaho veterans, I introduced the Improving Veterans Care in the Community Act of 2016, S. 3401, to make it easier for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to send veterans into their local communities for health care, to make it easier for veterans to access this community health care and to make it easier for veterans to access the services they need.

As doctors who specialize in helping people breathe, they see what happens when wildfire smoke spreads into communities throughout Idaho. Every time there is a spike in the air quality index — a rating for hazardous air — there is a spike in hospital visits, they said.

She was a member of the Bonners Ferry United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Her mission was knitting mittens and hats for Head Start children. "Keep those children warm."
