Kootenai River Days events begin next week
This is just a reminder from the Bonners Ferry Chamber of Commerce, that Kootenai River Days-2017, from July 4-8, is coming up and this year’s event should be especially exciting with events from the Bull Bash, to Comedians at the Kootenai River Inn, the Rotary Wine Walk and a Street Fair in downtown Bonners Ferry with vendors, arts, crafts, FREE bouncy castles and musicians, including special guest the Tru North Band, hitting the stage Saturday night, after the Bull Bash, at 8:30 p.m. on Bonner Street in downtown Bonners Ferry.

Kootenai River Run adds team category
Gather together five friends to participate in the new team category of the Kootenai River Run 5K this year. Team winners will be determined by the combined times of the five team members. Declare your team affiliation on race day, Saturday, July 1.

Boundary County Library nominated Top Small Library in USA
BONNERS FERRY — Our local Boundary County Library has been nominated for an award for the top small library in the United States. Its extensive children’s section, young adult section, large print section, and an array of books for all ages — as well as the Fab Lab and other programs offered — makes the library a perfect candidate.

BONNERS FERRY — In a cloud of whirling dust and thunderous hoofbeats, man versus beast once again came to the Boundary County Fairgrounds as the Selkirk Saddle Club presented the annual Bull Bash, a sanctioned event by Elite Professional Bullriders, on June 9.

SALE OF SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY The Board of Boundary County Commissioners will be accepting sealed bids for the following surplus property: Docks formerly used at the Rock Point (Waterways) Boat Launch. Docks consist of four, 8 foot x 21 foot sections and are made of wood with styrofoam floats with metal connections. SEPARATE SEALED BIDS will be accepted by the Boundary County Clerk, P.O. Box 419, Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805 no later than 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time, PST), Friday, June 9, 2017. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the presence of the attending bidders at 10:00 a.m. PST, on Monday, June 12, 2017. The item offered for sale may be inspected at the Rock Point parking lot (at Waterways Building) located on the north side of Riverside Road in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, across from the old mill property.
