NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Boundary County Commissioners will hold a reconsideration hearing at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 in the Commissioners' Office at the Boundary County Courthouse to reconsider a Short Plat Subdivision Application 17-051 by Joy Liljestam and Ted Ludlum. Application 17-051 dealt with a request to amend a previous plat on parcel # RP009000000070A. This request applies to Ordinance 2017-1 and specifically to Section(s) 11.3.6. Rural Subdivision: "Subdivision by short plat to create lots primarily intended for residential development where each lot meets or exceeds the density of the zone district in which it lies and where no lot created is less than 2-1/2 acres in size."; 11.6. Eika Willis, an eighth grade student at Boundary County Middle School, won the school competition of the National Geographic Bee on Jan. 29, and a chance at a $50,000 college scholarship. The school Bee, at which students answered questions on geography, was the first round in the 30th annual National Geographic Bee, a geography competition designed to inspire and reward students’ curiosity about the world.

Dorothy Moon, the chair of the Idaho Republican Party, has been attacking Congressman Mike Simpson for his refusal to support Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) for Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Simpson responded in typical fashion, saying, “I will not take Chairwoman Moon’s ill-advised input when I have been fighting for Idaho longer than she has lived in the state.” As usual, he speaks the truth.
