On the morning of Thursday, Nov. 17, Ruth Marion Hoglan completed her life here on this earth and crossed over into her new life, healthy, whole and free. Entering into eternity with her Lord Jesus, she joined her loved ones to complete what God had planned for her from the Beginning. Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, with interment following in the Grandview Cemetery.

The State Line House, located on the Montana-Idaho border of Highway 2, is an incredible relic, passed down through three generations.

On July 22, 2017, the Boundary County Historical Society held the 100th birthday of the 1917 Megquier-Houck Building. It was a big celebration at the museum, with a historical program and birthday cake. This year, 2020, is the 100th birthday of the 1920 Megquier-Houck Building.

North Bench Fire fundraiser a success

As a result of the Pistol Range Day and the Boundary County Fair booth, North Bench Volunteer Fire Department raised about $2,000, making it possible for the department to pick up a used brush truck from Idaho Department of Lands for $3,000. This Type 4 truck will greatly increase the capacity of the current brush truck from 250 gallons to 750 gallons and has a foam tank as well. Because of the success of these recent fundraising events the acquisition of this unit will not only help those living in the North Bench area, but all of Boundary County because of the mutual aid agreements in place with most fire departments.
