The Boundary County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a continuance of a public hearing at 5:30 PM Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the Courtroom, County Courthouse, to accept public comment on a Conditional Use Application, 18-042, 18-043, 18-044, 18-045 by Levi Falck DBA FALCKCO LLC and FALCKCO LLP. This hearing was tabled on 2/15/2018 in order to obtain additional information. The purpose of the increase is to fund the operation costs, disposal of wood/tire waste, scale system, recycling and site engineering for the Solid Waste Department. The last solid waste increase was in the 2017-2018 budget. Burn Ban on the Kootenai Reservation
Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in coordination with the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho has issued an air quality advisory and a ban on open burning on the Kootenai Reservation until Monday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m.
Ferguson sworn in as BCSD trustee
Since Boundary County School District trustee candidates are running unopposed, Mike Ferguson, the lone candidate for Zone 3, was sworn in at Monday's regular meeting and Candace “Candy” Kelly will retain her seat as Zone 4 trustee. There will not be a November election for BCSD trustees.
