A busy year for Boundary County's superintendent

As I move toward the end of my first year as Superintendent, many thoughts come to mind. The most recent—“You can’t please everyone.” I understand the business of education is complicated and emotionally charged. To steady this, my efforts will stay with what I said in my interview ten months ago: all decisions will be student-first oriented and based upon fiscal responsibility. Hold me to it!

Just want to remind the Paradise Valley voters about the tax-based fire house vote. Again take a good look at Naples fire department. Example: Voter turnout less than 50 percent.

I was inspired to run for office to make sure our children had the same opportunities to succeed that I had. There is a generation of Americans that are losing hope in the American Dream. I’m fortunate to have lived this dream and I fight everyday to make sure others have the same opportunity.

These constitutional amendments have been approved with a combined 94 percent yes vote by the Idaho state Senate and Idaho House of Representatives. They must now be approved by a simple majority of those voting Tuesday.
