Car show Saturday in Bonners Ferry

Gene Andrews will be among about 150 owners of antique and classic cars to invade downtown Bonners Ferry on Saturday, June 7, for Borders-3-Jamboree. Andrews will be showing his original 1941 Jeep, reportedly used by the military during the Normandy Invasion on June 6, 1944.

Lyle R. Pardee, 76, passed away very suddenly, on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint.  Interment will be in the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake, Wash.

Kelli and Tom Jones enjoyed their two grandchildren, Kaylee and Rayna, in Head Start at the Julian Bucher Center in Bonners Ferry. The center is operated by North Idaho College Head Start.

Improved technology highlighted as county jail earns certification

BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County Jail has continued to improve over the years, resulting in it being recommended for certification for the third year in a row. Recent new improvements to modernize the operations at the jail have led to better efficiency as well as better safety for the inmates.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Boundary Community Hospital is engaging Honeywell IntI. Inc (HBS) for a design build proposal to install HVAC equipment and control in a surgery room. The scope of work includes generating construction documents that accurately describe the mechanical, plumbing and electrical system improvements. Boundary Community Hospital is requesting proposals for engineering and design services from qualified firms for the engineering scope of work.
