100 Years Ago A large rock slide on the Great Northern tracks about a mile west of town claimed the lives of three men on Monday. William Clark, Dorville Walters and Arthur States were killed as a crew was starting spring clean up on the tracks.

ESSR III funds to pay for summer maintenance at BCSD
Due to the failure of the March bond, Boundary County School District officials said they are exploring options on how to pay for needed facility maintenance in the summer. One solution: Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds or ESSR III.

Seniors break the national record — again They say that some things get better with age. Well, the Kootenai Valley Rifle Team is proving that they are aging quite well. For the fourth time in four years, the team of Bill Leach, Greg Mead, Tom Daniel and Don Jordan have broken the Senior three-position team national record.
Some newbies are not what they claim to be

26th annual Awana Grand Prix revs up the fun
