Tractor Supply hearing to be redone
Boundary County commissioners approved two road variances for a Tractor Supply store, which will be built at 87 Homestead Loop, but due to an appeal and a procedural error the commissioners will redo the hearing.

It is important for all of us to get out and vote to support the school M&O levy. We have long been fans of our schools and our students. We are privileged to personally know many graduates from our school district, and have enjoyed watching them excel in academics and compete in sports, gaining the skills and leadership needed to become productive adults.

Senate kills controversial school choice bill
A divisive education savings account (ESA) bill died in the Idaho Senate on Monday afternoon — in a 12-23 vote that came after over two hours of floor debate. Senate Bill 1038 would have established a universal education savings account program, providing $5,950 scholarships to students who are homeschooled, or attend non-public schools. The money could be used for private school tuition and fees, uniforms, textbooks and other education-related expenses.

Woman charged with trafficking meth
A Montana woman is in jail on $100,000 bail after police said they found hundreds of fentanyl pills in her vehicle. Rebecca Piper, 40, of Missoula, Mont., is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

A lawsuit naming North Idaho College and Laura Rumpler, the college’s chief communications and government relations officer, as defendants was filed Tuesday in 1st District Court in Kootenai County.
