Girls soccer team takes fifth during state tournament in Caldwell
Bonners Ferry High School Girls Soccer Team placed fifth at the Idaho 3A Region 1 State Championship on Friday and Saturday at Vallivue High School in Caldwell. The Lady Badgers finished the season with a league record of 9-2-1 and an overall record of 11-9-1.

Fundraiser to help fund Vogl's battle with cancer
Mike Vogl has been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. He is ready to battle for his life. He has undergone the Gamma knife surgery for tumors in his brain. Cancer cells were recently found in the pancreas, also. This is the time for family and friends to join in this fight. Mike will never ask for help so let’s all step up to help in any way we can.

BONNERS FERRY — The Timberlake Tigers, ranked No. 1 in the coaches’ and media polls in 3A, jumped out to a 18-9 lead at the end of the first quarter of their Jan. 19 visit to Bonners Ferry.

Badgers golfers do well at 3A State Tourney
The Badgers golf team sent five boys to the 3A State Tournament at the River Birch Golf Course in Star, ID, with Phil Pollacia medaling with a Top-10 finish.

Community Choir to put on Christmas concert on Friday, Dec. 16
Bonners Ferry Community Choir will present “Peace on Earth, Goodwill to All” on Friday, Dec. 16th at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, Dec. 18th at 3 p.m. Both performances are at Trinity Lutheran Church, located just off Highway 95 on Cody Street in Bonners Ferry. Tickets are by donation at the door with a recommended donation of $10 for adults, $5 for students and $25 for a family.

Badger boys blown out at home by Genesis Prep
The Bonners Ferry boys basketball team hosted Genesis Prep on Thursday, Jan. 5 and lost the nonleague game 41-82.
Local doctor joins first ICOM faculty
Dr. Troy Geyman has been appointed an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine for ldaho’s first MD/DO’s continuing education college. Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine opened its doors Sept. 5, 2018, with 162 students (42 ldahoans) enrolled in the first class. ICOM’s mission is to be the nation’s leader in training osteopathic physicians prepared for caring for persons in Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and beyond.
BFHS football loses finale
SPIRIT LAKE — The Bonners Ferry football team ended its season at Timberlake, falling 55-6 to the Tigers, who went undefeated in the Intermountain League conference.
