Badgers handle Spartans, rematch Timberlake for state berth
The Bonners Ferry Badgers were down by seven points at the half Feb. 26, but were able to outscore the Spartans by 13 in the second half to win 60-52. Wyatt Nelson was the top scorer for the Badgers with 15 points. Cameron Woods had 13 and Josh Pluid had 10. Tenacious inside defense kept the Spartans from scoring inside. The Badgers were unable to cool the hot hands of Senior Jimmy Koch though, who scored 25 points, many from beyond the 3 point line.

As I returned home this weekend from seeing the Shutes family camped out at KMC for their Kelsey, I thought about the promise so many of us neighbors made to George and Kari. They are so thankful for all the support and with tear-filled eyes, they expressed they wanted “just that” over and over again. They asked each of us to thank each person we knew that has been involved for all their prayers and helpfulness in so many areas.

Seven projects under way in Boundary County's forests

One day in early spring, the sweet fragrance of cottonwood buds will fill the air. The large pointed buds of black cottonwoods are filled with a sticky, reddish substance that emits a sweet resinous fragrance.

The Badgers were hot and cold in the Jan. 23 double-header in Montana. Badgers Jaeger Schnuerle and Luke Reoch had pins for Bonners Ferry in a close and exciting dual with the Libby Loggers. The dual at Glacier had many close matches that went bad for the Badgers.
