Reinbold's absence again forces meetings' cancellation
A trio of West Bonner school board meetings were canceled Tuesday morning when Zone 3 trustee Troy Reinbold advised he would be unable to attend. Reinhold's absence, attributed to an unspecified family emergency, caused the cancellation of two special meetings set to interview candidates for two open board seats set for Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 18. The Zone 3 trustee's absence also caused the cancellation of the board's regularly scheduled meeting for October, set for Wednesday, Oct. 18.
New compound forming, residents present zoning violations to commissioners
Concerned residents of Boundary County near the Moyie River along Earl Lane Road spoke to county commissioners on Tuesday, May 25, about an alleged “Ruby Ridge-style” compound forming in Boundary.
County will pay $60,000 to developer
After a year of court dates and hearings, a Bonners Ferry home developer will receive $60,000 from Boundary County for a property zoning dispute.
19 lot subdivision to go before P&Z Thursday
A proposed urban 62-acre subdivision is scheduled to go before Boundary County Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday. Called Poulton Pines, the subdivision would create 19 lots from two parcels adjacent to 822 Chokecherry Drive.
Petition to stop work on Wifi towers denied
A petition signed by 20 county residents seeking to impose a moratorium on the continued construction of two high speed wireless internet towers in the county was denied Monday by county commissioners.

Bill Hunt: Missing in action; never forgotten
Bill Hunt was 31 when he was last seen alive. Leaning up against a tree, badly wounded, the Special Forces ranger provided cover for a wounded comrade that November in 1966. He never came home.
