Get out and vote in library election
There is an important library board election May 16 for those of you living in zones 3 and 5. Incumbents Aaron Bohachek (Zone 3) and Lee Colson (Zone 5) deserve your support. Both have demonstrated excellent leadership and are strongly committed to making sure the library is accessible to all.
County and cities discuss local issues, possible solutions

Cd'A School District declares financial emergency
A financial emergency was formally declared by the Coeur d’Alene School District. Trustees voted 3-2 during a special meeting Friday to move ahead with the declaration. Chair Rebecca Smith, who attended via phone, Vice Chair Casey Morrisroe and Trustee Heather Tenbrink voted in favor. Trustee Allie Anderton, who also attended by phone, and Trustee Lesli Bjerke voted against the motion.

If you live in Library Zone 3 (as I do) or in Zone 5, you have an important, upcoming election to choose your zone's library board member. Check with the courthouse clerk to discover which library zone you are in.
Tractor Supply CUP hearing redone, approved
Due to a noticing issue at the former Planning and Zoning hearing, the Tractor Supply Co. store conditional use permit hearing had to be redone before the commissioners on April 4. It was approved unanimously.

Tractor Supply conditional use permit hearing to be redone
Boundary County commissioners will redo a public hearing to consider the conditional use permit for the proposed site of the coming Tractor Supply Co. store. The hearing will be held April 4 at 4:30 p.m. in order to remedy issues raised by a public appeal regarding adequate public notice for the application.
