The Kootenai Tribe will begin construction of a river habitat restoration project upstream of Bonners Ferry in August. The Lower Meander project is part of the Tribe’s Kootenai River Habitat Restoration Program, which is improving habitat for Kootenai River white sturgeon, burbot (ling cod) and other native fish.

SALE OF SURPLUS COUNTY PROPERTY The Board of Boundary County Commissioners will be accepting sealed bids for the following surplus property: Docks formerly used at the Rock Point (Waterways) Boat Launch. Docks consist of four, 8 foot x 21 foot sections and are made of wood with styrofoam floats with metal connections. SEPARATE SEALED BIDS will be accepted by the Boundary County Clerk, P.O. Box 419, Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805 no later than 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time, PST), Friday, June 9, 2017. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the presence of the attending bidders at 10:00 a.m. PST, on Monday, June 12, 2017. The item offered for sale may be inspected at the Rock Point parking lot (at Waterways Building) located on the north side of Riverside Road in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, across from the old mill property.
