BCSD completes several summer projets

BONNERS FERRY — Trustee Ron MacDonald provided an update on the Boundary County School District’s to-do list for summertime projects at Monday’s board meeting. Among the maintenance and repair tasks already completed are eight new energy-efficient windows for two classrooms at Boundary County Middle School, hallway maintenance, sidewalk improvements, a new drinking fountain and the purchase of a floor scrubbing machine.

Absentee request deadline Friday for Nov. 7 elections

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot for the Nov. 7 election is Friday, Oct. 27. Registered voters can request an absentee ballot at www.VoteIdaho.gov through 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. Completed ballots must be returned to county elections offices by mail, in person, or in an official ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Third annual Don James Memorial Doubles Tournament a smash hit

On Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22, 20 players making up 10 teams took part in the third annual Don James Memorial Doubles Tournament. For this year, the tournament was split over two days so all teams would have an opportunity to play each other, with the top four teams making the semifinals.
