While town hall was civil, Fulcher's credit is not
The VFW hall in Sandpoint was full Monday night for Russ Fulcher’s town hall, and I was impressed that a civil discussion resulted. That’s to Fulcher’s credit. His voting record is not.

Two different notices got my attention on Jan. 12. One was a notice from Avista stating, “As a natural gas customer, we ask you to conserve gas for the next 24 hours. There is a mechanical issue with a natural gas provider for Avista, affecting our natural gas supply.” Customers were asked to lower thermostats and reduce the use of hot water.
Advocating for rural Idaho schools
The federal government is responsible for the impact of federal land ownership on local communities. Secure Rural Schools and Self-Determination (SRS) Act payments are one way the federal government contributes to meeting this responsibility. Congress must extend the SRS program this year to avoid any lapse in payments as we continue to work toward the goal of a permanent solution that alleviates uncertainty for Idaho counties.
