The Boundary County Sheriff's Office and the Boundary Search & Dive Rescue Team have suspended their search for Mark Brackebusch, 73, who was reported missing on Aug. 31. Brackebusch is believed to have been in the forest since around Aug. 25.

BONNERS FERRY — Badger Cross Country was at Kiwanis Park on Thursday, Aug. 30, for the Post Falls Invite. This course was sort of unique in that it was 2.8 miles instead of the standard 3.11 miles. The reason for this was the venue, Kiwanis Park, is not very large and historically has been quite confusing. Post Falls HS attempted to simplify the course at the expense of some distance.

The Bonners Ferry Badgers baseball team began their home season with two losses from the Sandpoint Bulldogs last Friday. They bounced back on Saturday to sweep the Trail, BC Hawks to improve their early record to 3-2 for the season.

The Boundary County Sheriff's Office is continuing their investigation in the case of Michael Rocha. Rocha, 58, has been missing since Nov. 8. The BCSO is looking for any information on the whereabouts and activities of Michael Rocha on Nov. 8 and 9. The BCSO is also looking for anyone who knows of any family members of Rocha, as deputies have not been able to find anyone yet.

Riverside Road project delayed

Minimizing impacts to residents and the traveling public has been a top priority of all partners on the Riverside Road Improvement Project. In order to complete the project in one season (April to October), Western Federal Lands and Boundary County believe it is in the best interest of the public to delay construction until spring of 2021.

BONNERS FERRY — Law enforcement searched for a man who ran from a stopped vehicle around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, on the North Hill of Highway 95. The search took place at the top of North Hill, in the area of Boundary County Landfill, and surrounding areas.
