I’ve never written a letter about anything, especially politics. Recently there was a letter that wasn’t very complimentary about Shawn Keough. I felt someone who knew the reason needed to speak out. Shawn works tirelessly with both sides of the aisle this is why projects that have been on hold for years are being funded and built. The Dover Bridge, Clark Fork Bridge, the Byway and more. Her opponent won’t get the positions she holds and once again the money will go south. Too many times people get upset because they want something but on their terms. The Hwy through Ponderay for example: it took a long time and some businesses had to close. This wasn’t Shawn’s fault! As the letter I’m responding to said “Pay attention to your candidates and hat they have done and stand for. Please pay attention to what Shawn had done and re-elect her!!

Several weeks ago while returning from Canada, I decided to take the Farm to Market Road from the border to the Copeland Road, then east to Highway 1, and then south to Highway 95. As I was traveling south on the gravel road, I noticed a small farm pond with several large black birds hovering over the area. In total, four were in the air and one was on a whitetail deer carcass.

Truth or politics?
It was gratifying that an Idaho House panel has approved new K-12 science standards that strike key references to climate change caused by human behavior.
Proposed fee increases are coming at the right time
I support the proposed fee increases for Boundary County 110%. It is not so much “long overdue” as it is the right time. Every county employee and department has diligently made every penny count, every part, every vehicle, every computer, etc., function until it turned into dust.

Ethan Wilson - Mr. Bonners Ferry High School Participant #14
Ethan Wilson describes himself as impulsive and confused, and he enjoys spending his spare time growing his luscious red hair. His secret to getting all the ladies is to fake it until he makes it. Ethan’s dream girl must have an appetite for adventure, like to smile, and be able to find red hair attractive. When asked why he was the manliest man he replied, “‘Cause I’m the man. You can tell ‘cause it’s just the way it is.”
