Introducing the BFH Team: Tanna Yeoumans
BONNERS FERRY — Tanna Yeoumans began her career with the Bonners Ferry Herald as Tanna Larsen in June of 2017. She was the long awaited arrival to the team, as Mandi Bateman, still a reporter at the time, was handling all of the editorial herself.

Stolen vehicle driven into river
BONNERS FERRY — Mikael Merrifield, a Moyie Springs resident, was spotted by Boundary County Sheriff deputies in a stolen vehicle on Cow Creek Road, which resulted in the truck becoming lost in the Kootenai River, according to a Boundary County Sheriff’s Office press release.

Bonners Jiu-Jitsu aims high
BONNERS FERRY — Jiu-Jitsu competitors from Bonners Ferry Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) went to Tacoma, Wash., to compete and represent Team Sylvio Behring USA in the Revolution Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament. The Revolution is one of the biggest Jiu-Jitsu competitions in the Pacific Northwest.
Neighbors, not militia pitch in and do what needs to be done in Boundary County
Been reading with a mighty guffaw the “rise of the militia” in Boundary County, and their call to raise arms to help and assist this community in time of need, rallying to the old cries, “family, community, patriotism!”

Edith Louise Tallmadge Zimmerman, 75, passed away at the Boundary County Extended Care Facility on July 26, 2007. Funeral Services will be held on Aug. 3, 2007 at 3 p.m., in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with internment follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Fred William Lemmert, 52
Fred William Lemmert (Crazy Fred), 52, was born on Sept. 4, 1954 in Cumberland Md., to William and Irene Lemmert. When he was 14 days old his family moved to California, at that time he became the youngest person to fly across the U.S.
