Since Boundary County School District trustee candidates are running unopposed, Mike Ferguson, the lone candidate for Zone 3, was sworn in at Monday's regular meeting and Candace “Candy” Kelly will retain her seat as Zone 4 trustee. There will not be a November election for BCSD trustees.

WBCSD special meeting prompts concern
A special West Bonner school board meeting set for Wednesday is drawing community concerns as well as that of an attorney representing two Bonner County voters granted a restraining order prohibiting the board from making any decisions that bind the board financially or contractually.
Court order forces board to cancel special meeting
A temporary restraining order was granted late Friday afternoon, barring the West Bonner County School District from making any changes to the board or authority given to Superintendent Brandon Durst before the recall of board chair Keith Rutledge and vice chair Susan Brown takes place on Thursday.
