Being in the proud profession of teaching and learning for 40 years now, I will start with a multiple choice question, “What did I learn this year?” Select one: A) Learning never stops, B) Communication is key, C) Mistakes are educational, D) Respect and trust are earned, or E) All of the above. Easy enough question even though the answers are sometimes hard to come by! Overall, we had a wonderful school year and thanks to all the answers listed above, this will continue into 2017-2018 and beyond. As I will always do, let’s base our progress on safe, civil and productive actions.

I don't know how so few do so much for so many. Saturday was the day for fair superintendents and other volunteers to get together and get ready for what would happen Tuesday night … the grand opening of this years Boundary County Fair.

Man killed in Peterson Hill crash, quick thinking saves life

A Boundary County man was taking a bath when he heard a crash. At first, the man, who asked that his name not be used because he did not want recognition, told the Bonners Ferry Herald that he thought it was a gunshot.

Owners Earl and Linda Berwick have been in California for the past week visiting family. Church continues services despite stay-home order

BONNERS FERRY — Since Idaho Gov. Brad Little’s March 25 issuing of the statewide stay-home order that prohibits all non-essential gatherings of any number of individuals, the churches in Bonners Ferry have complied, moving to alternative services, such as online attendance.
