If you are a vintage car buff who can’t wait to show off the Model-T or the classic Edsel you’ve been scraping your knuckles on in the garage during the winter months, you’ve got good reason to rejoice. The Bonners Ferry Rod Benders 19th annual Borders 3 Jamboree is almost upon us. Set for the first Saturday in June, this will be on Main Street and will have the feelings of a giant Block Party with vintage car owners displaying their rides of cars, pickups and roadsters.

Jump Rope for Heart a hit with Valley View Elementary students

Valley View Elementary hosted their eighteenth annual Jump Rope for Heart event on Wednesday, February 28. With over 90 students, many parents, teachers and other adults in attendance, they were jumping for a good cause. Students learned about heart attack signs, heart disease risk factors, healthy food planning, and the need for 60+ minutes a day of exercise in their PE classes during the month of February. These lesson plans and PE activities were in conjunction with the American Heart Association’s heart campaign.

It has been a multiyear process to get the Boundary Community Hospital Surgery Department ready to perform more complicated surgeries. Since the upgrade and expansion of the Surgery Suite was completed in June 2018, Michael DiBenedetto, MD has successfully completed two total hip replacement surgeries, as well as several knee and hand surgeries.
