For the week of Sept. 4 and 5, Game of the Day was “Mystery Hole” in which no one knows which hole counts for the prize until all players are in. It was also the first half of the Club Championship matches, in which all players get a chance to win Club Champion based on scores from two days of play.

Fire contained quickly

BONNERS FERRY — A fire was reported on Icicle Lane around 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 5. Initial reports indicated that it was a shed, but when fire crews arrived it was discovered to be an outhouse which was fully engulfed at the time. The fire had spread to a nearby slash pile and then became a brush fire.

Five out of six Badgers place at Blackhawk Invite

Badger wrestling hopped the state line and laid a smackdown on the Washington team, finishing fifth with five out of six Badgers placing at the Blackhawk invite at Cheney High School.

Library board declares trustee vacancy

Due to the untimely death of Judith Mace on Oct. 3, the Boundary County Library Board has declared a trustee vacancy for Zone 5 at its Oct. 21 meeting.

Badger track stays strong day one of districts

The Badger track teams competed in the first day of the 3A Class district 1 track meet and are currently placed in first and second place.

Bonners women drop one to Sandpoint

The Bonners Ferry women’s varsity basketball kicked off the 3rd annual Moose Madness activities with a disappointing 42-53 loss Saturday night.
