Road storage compliance project eyed
The Idaho Panhandle National Forests is proposing the Grouse Bear Management Unit Compliance Project in order to comply with the Grizzly Bear Access Amendment adopted in 2011. The compliance project would affect an area near McArthur Lake east of Highway 95 and northwest of Lunch Peak known as the Grouse Bear Management Unit.

Incumbent Gil Hagen, a retired grain, hay and alfalfa farmer, will be challenged by community volunteer Ingrid Elena Pavia and retired electrician and electronic technician Walter Burrow.

Application 18-119 involves Amending Ordinance 9B18LOV1 to clarify the definitions of Setback and Structure. Application 18-120 involves Amending Ordinance 9B18LOV1 to define the duration of a Variance permit to run with the land and correct a few typographical errors. Application 18-130 involves Amending Ordinance 9B18LOV1 to provide for the Planning and Zoning Commission Member length of service to be more than 2 full terms.. The deadline for written comment and material for Applications 18-119, 18-120 and 18-130 is 12 PM Monday October 29, 2018. Written comment may be mailed to: Boundary County Planning and Zoning Administrator, PO Box 419, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805, faxed to (208) 267-7814 or emailed to planning@boundarycountyid.org. Tractor Supply conditional use permit hearing to be redone

The hearing will be held April 4 at 4:30 p.m. in order to remedy issues raised by a public appeal regarding adequate public notice for the application.
