BONNERS FERRY — Boundary County Museum is hosting its annual fall fundraising dinner, “A Night for the Museum,” Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m.

Duane Edward Saunders (54) passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Community Hospital , in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. A wake will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 starting at 5:00pm at the Kootenai Tribal Hall.

Bonners Ferry Wrestling Club registration will take place Monday, Oct. 3, at 5:30 p.m. at the Bonners Ferry High School library.

Stephen Douglas Moody

Stephen Douglas Moody passed away on Dec. 5, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 2 p.m., Mountain Springs Church, 6789 Main St., Bonners Ferry. A private military honors service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, Wash.

Birth announcement

Charlie Neil Dinning was born May 5, 2018 at Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint. The son of Tom and Angela Dinning of Bonners Ferry was 21 inches long and weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces at birth. He joins big sisters Madalyn and Isabel.

3A Track State Championship: Abubakari two-time state champ

Asha Abubakari did it again, taking first in both the discus and the shot put at the 3A Track and Field State Championship.

Badgers Dylan Sweeney, Colton Watt, Rock Stapley and Quinten Fransoo had double wins to help Bonners Ferry defeat Kellogg 86-46 in track action.

Lady's golf league opens 2016 season

The Mirror Lake Ladies Golf league opened the 2016 season on Tuesday May 1st and Wednesday May 2nd. The league will now consist of two days each week with play on Tuesday evenings at 5 pm and Wednesday mornings at 9 am. Golfers are welcome to play either or both days so come join the fun!

Bonners Ferry churches sponsor youth VBS camp

For the seventh year, four Bonners Ferry churches are sponsoring a Vacation Bible School, with this year’s camp set from Aug. 1-5.

For the week of August 6-7, Game of the Day for the Tuesday evening players was “Throw Out Your Worst Hole.” The winners were Gerry Ann Howlett, Low Gross (47); Elaine Morgan and Renee Murphy tied for Low Net with 32, and Elaine Morgan won Low Putts with 15.
