Emergency Vehicle Driver Training class
BONNERS FERRY — On September 16, South Boundary Fire Chief Tony Rohrwasser held an Emergency Vehicle Driver Training class, consisting of approximately eight hours of class time and then a driving course. The class work covers safety and response, driving to and from emergency scenes. It goes over rules of the road and liability, leaving some new students nervous. “Things could be held against us, if something went wrong somewhere,” explained Rohrwasser.

Bonners Ferry Band updates
Bonners Ferry high school and middle school band students volunteered over 200 hours to construct and staff the Second Chance Animal Shelter’s Haunted House. On Oct. 27, 28, and 31, the haunted house opened and screams could be heard for blocks as the band students and other volunteers did their best to entertain and terrify. All money raised went to house, feed, and care for homeless pets in Boundary County.

Library to create 'new adult' book section after book reconsideration
Boundary County Library will be creating a new adult section for books aimed at readers 18 to 25 and that explore more adult themes than young adult books. The section will be located upstairs.
