Biden budget is unaffordable

The White House recently released its Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 budget proposal a month late, and it would run our country deeper in debt. It would drive up federal spending to $6.9 trillion, while deficits would rise to more than $2 trillion by FY 2033. Interest on federal debt will skyrocket from $661 billion this year to more than $10 trillion over the next ten years. To make matters worse, the President’s budget calls for nearly $5 trillion in new and increased taxes to help fuel tax-and-spend proposals. We simply cannot afford this.

Badgers Ridge and Asher Williams led the contest with 25 points a piece giving Bonners Ferry (14-1) a league win against the Timberlake Tigers (6-10) and a victory at the Backwoods Brawl, a new spirit competition between the two schools on Jan. 27.

Please come join us at Two Tones Cafe on Monday, July 23, from 5-9 p.m. for a fundraiser for one of our family members. Amy Barnett and family lost everything in a devastating fire. Come enjoy food, music, and friends with 25 percent of proceeds going to help rebuild. There will be baskets for needed items as well as cash donations to help the family. Nancy Lynn Meadows will be performing as well as being the emcee for an open mic night. We are looking for local talent to join us for the open mic. Currently eight slots available.
