Editor’s note: This attack occurred on Friday, March 12 in the village of Chignik Lake, Alaska. According to CNN’s Web site, it is likely that the woman was mauled to death by animals, “most likely wolves.” The cause of her death is yet to be confirmed.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Boundary County Board of County Commissioners will hold public hearing at 1:30 PM Monday, November 5, 2018 in the Boundary County Commissioners Office on the second floor of the Courthouse to accept public comment on Amendment Applications, 18-119, 18-120, 18-130 by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Application 18-119 involves Amending Ordinance 9B18LOV1 to clarify the definitions of Setback and Structure. Application 18-120 involves Amending Ordinance 9B18LOV1 to define the duration of a Variance permit to run with the land and correct a few typographical errors. Application 18-130 involves Amending Ordinance 9B18LOV1 to provide for the Planning and Zoning Commission Member length of service to be more than 2 full terms.. The deadline for written comment and material for Applications 18-119, 18-120 and 18-130 is 12 PM Monday October 29, 2018. Written comment may be mailed to: Boundary County Planning and Zoning Administrator, PO Box 419, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805, faxed to (208) 267-7814 or emailed to planning@boundarycountyid.org.
