Idaho first lady prioritizes school safety
MERIDIAN — In her capacity as honorary chairperson, Idaho’s First Lady Lori Otter will launch the “See, Tell, Now!” campaign for the Idaho Office of School Safety and Security Aug. 23. She will also announce Gov. Butch Otter’s proclamation that September will herafter be designated as School Safety and Security Awareness Month throughout the state.

Christmas musicals bring cheer
BONNERS FERRY — With Christmas approaching, Bonners Ferry has shown the holiday cheer with decorations and events around the area. The community came together in the season of giving, celebrating with holiday concerts, fundraisers, and other festivities.

Taking on the ultra challenge
This past Saturday I entered my first ultra marathon at Frater Lake, Wash. It is a veteran memorial for Emory Corwine who was a special operations instructor at Fairchild Air Force Base. He was killed in a motorcycle accident July 12, 2012. So the race kicks off at 6:12 a.m. in the morning.

Daniel Patrick Krmpotich, 52, a resident of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, passed away, Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in Clark Fork, Idaho from a motorcycle accident.
Shirley Robbins, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, with her daughter, Sandy, and grandson, Paul, by her side knowing she was dearly loved by her family.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Dec.16, 2007, in celebration of her life.
