Badgers defeat St. Maries 4-0
The Bonners Ferry boys’ soccer squad defeated the St. Maries Lumberjacks 4–0 Thursday, Sept. 5 to improve their IML record to 2–0.

RATHDRUM — The Badgers were down 34-42 with five minutes left in the fourth quarter but scored the final 11 points of the game to upset the number one seeded Spartans 45-42 in the Intermountain League District championship game at Lakeland High School on Feb. 6.
Lady Badgers top seededfor today's District tourney
The Lady Badgers are top seeded for the District I 3A Girls Basketball tournament, which opens today, Feb. 12, at Lakeland High School. Bonners Ferry and Timberlake tied for first place in the Intermountain League and the Lady Badgers won the coin toss and a first round bye.

Shirley Elliott got second high scratch game 166, third high scratch series 415, second high handicap game 252 and second high handicap series 673. Alice VanGundy got third high scratch game 160 and second high scratch series 428. Evelyn Smith got third high handicap game 240. Nancy Furtado got third high handicap series 662.

Wildfire in Boundary County
BONNERS FERRY — A wildfire gained ground on Wednesday, July 18, encompassing approximately 15 acres in an area east of Hwy 95 at approximately milepost 517 5. Multiple fire agencies responded, including Idaho Department of Lands, who brought a helicopter with a water bucket and a plane carrying fire retardant and water, both which have made multiple trips and are continuing at this time.

Officer-involved shooting reported
BONNERS FERRY — Boundary County Sheriff’s Office, Bonners Ferry Police Department, and Kootenai Tribal Police were investigating an alleged hit and run incident and a separate crash involving the same suspected vehicle on Nov. 29 around 5:15 p.m. on Mission Road.

The Tuesday’s Trouble started their bowling season the 7th of September. We are still short a bowler. Each year we draw lots to see who is on each team.
Lauri Vogel Kittredge
Lauri Vogel Kittredge passed away on December 21, 2015. Lauri was born February 5, 1956 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Ellis and Sue Vogel. She attended school in Bonners Ferry before moving with her family to Coeur d’Alene in 1972 where she finished high school. Lauri received a degree in accounting from the College of Idaho in 1978 and was a practicing CPA until a few months before her death. It was a career she loved and excelled at.
