Church continues services despite stay-home order
BONNERS FERRY — Since Idaho Gov. Brad Little’s March 25 issuing of the statewide stay-home order that prohibits all non-essential gatherings of any number of individuals, the churches in Bonners Ferry have complied, moving to alternative services, such as online attendance.

BONNERS FERRY — The investigation continues in the fatal shooting of 45-year old Kootenai County man, Brian Drake, that occurred on March 12 at 6811 Main St. in Bonners Ferry.
Schools may remain in soft closure for the rest of the school year
BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County School District (BCSD) will remain in soft closure until the end of the school year, with the option to reopen schools pending a set criteria that has not been determined at this time.

Porthill border temporarily reducing hours
PORTHILL — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is temporarily reducing the hours of operation at the Port of Porthill, beginning Monday, April 6. The Port of Porthill is currently open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day, but will change to 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
