On November 18, 2020, James Edward Perry, Ed to his friends and family, 75, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, left the cold of winter in Northern Idaho to be with his Lord in the warm, sunny, clear blue skies of heaven.

Chamber readies for Hometown Holidays fun
The season-long celebration kicks off with Small Business Saturday and a holiday scavenger hunt. But that is just the beginning as the celebration also will feature a lights display contest, and letters to Santa. The fun will culminate with 9B Ladies on the Loose and Santa at Georgia Mae Plaza.

On July 22, 2017, the Boundary County Historical Society held the 100th birthday of the 1917 Megquier-Houck Building. It was a big celebration at the museum, with a historical program and birthday cake. This year, 2020, is the 100th birthday of the 1920 Megquier-Houck Building.
IPNF offering Christmas tree permits online
In an effort to promote social distancing and reduce the need for walk-in business at administrative offices, people can easily print their own Christmas tree cutting permits at home from www.recreation.gov. The online permits are free, but there will be a $2.50 administrative fee for the online transaction.

The Boundary County Fair Board has proposed an increase in rental fees for the Boundary County Fairgrounds and its indoor facilities. If approved, the new rates would go into effect on January 1st, 2021.
