On Oct. 18 Boundary County Middle School seventh and eighth grade football teams traveled to Timberlake to play.

Badgers score early, fall to St. Maries
The Bonners Ferry Badgers came out ready to play in Friday’s nonconference matchup with visiting St. Maries, scoring on their first drive when freshman quarterback, Teigan Banning, made an acrobatic jumping pass and connected with junior Evan Barajas for a 38 yard touchdown. Sophomore kicker Sky Reinhardt’s kick after touchdown was successful and Badgers led the Jacks 7-0 two minutes into the first quarter.
Pumpkin Drop returns, smashing success
The Wicked Witch of the East had a house dropped on her, but this Halloween in Bonners Ferry another villain had a pumpkin dropped on him, as the annual Pumpkin Drop returned from a multi-year hiatus.
WBCSD special meeting prompts concern
A special West Bonner school board meeting set for Wednesday is drawing community concerns as well as that of an attorney representing two Bonner County voters granted a restraining order prohibiting the board from making any decisions that bind the board financially or contractually.

In their first home game on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the Badgers couldn’t keep up with Lake City JV’s shooting, who won 61-40.

The Bonners Ferry City Council members who voted for the annexation, along with city administrator Stephen Boorman, acting city attorney Will Herrington, former assistant city administrator David Sims are hypocrites as far as the annexation goes.

Boundary County Middle School is back at another school year and this has been a very positive year so far. Students and staff alike are breathing well and looking forward to another great school year of activity and learning.
Fire danger prompts agencies to implement fire restrictions
With the threat of wildfire danger increasing rapidly in northern Idaho, local land management agencies will implement Stage 1 Fire Restrictions on all lands within the Coeur d’Alene Dispatch area beginning at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 9. Fire restrictions are intended to decrease the chance of any preventable fires in the designated areas.
