Moyie River, Eastport resients prepare for floods
BONNERS FERRY — Several property owners living along the upper Moyie River and near Eastport received letters from Boundary County Commissioners asking them to prepare for possible flooding.
Community Theater coming soon

More caterpillar problems discovered
In the summer of 2010, the Idaho State Department of Lands (IDL), the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and the U.S. Forest Service detected new areas with defoliation by a caterpillar called the Douglas-fir tussock moth in Kootenai and Benewah counties in Idaho, and Spokane County in Washington.

A National Jewel in the Kootenai Valley
The only national wildlife refuge in Idaho north of Boise is in Boundary County. Located five miles west of Bonners Ferry, Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge (KNWR) is also the smallest refuge in Idaho at 2774 acres.
