We must focus on shared heath care goals

As Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Finance, I have worked with colleagues on a number of bipartisan health care solutions, ranging from mental health improvements to comprehensive telehealth coverage for seniors and working families. These solutions were also fiscally responsible and reduced the deficit by billions of dollars. Bringing Idaho commonsense to Congress, we can advance additional reforms that improve health care access, affordability and choice for all Americans if my congressional colleagues on both sides of the aisle and the Biden Administration focus on the policies we all support.

The public is invited to attend the virtual meeting on May 17 from 5–7pm Pacific Daylight Time.

On Tuesday May 16, city residents have the opportunity to vote on a proposed local option tax of 1% on taxable goods up to $1,000 to fund the police, fire and street departments. Those living in Boundary County Library Trustee Zones 5 and 3 have the opportunity to vote for candidates also at the May 16 election.

Fallen Firefighters to Be Honored at National Memorial

The U.S. Fire Service will pay tribute to the lives of firefighters who died in the line of duty in 2022 and in previous years during the 42nd National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on Sunday, May 7.
