Heading into the home stretch at Bonners Ferry High School
Hello Bonners Ferry. The mad dash to the end is under way so hold on. Let’s start with recent events. Congratulations to the Senior class advisors for another great Prom. It is always a joy to see everyone dressed so nice and having a good time. It was also my privilege to escort our Junior Top Scholars to their award ceremony. The top ten in the Junior class are invited to NIC to receive a medallion and recognition along with all the Top Scholars from around the region. It is a great way to recognize all the hard work they have done to keep their grades up. Not to be left out, we honored two Seniors at the annual NISTAR banquet. NISTAR stands for North Idaho Student Teacher Achievement Award. Two seniors are chosen based on their GPA and their involvement in extracurricular activities. Congratulations to Abby Davis, and her teacher Tommy Jacobs. Congratulations to Erica Wood and her teacher Julie Smith.

Gary Suppiger is the right person for District 1 seat
I have known Gary Suppiger for many years. My admiration for him started when he volunteered, at the school where I taught, to teach additional math skills to students before regular school hours. He did this consistently for over 10 years and his program not only excited kids about math but culminated in a yearly math competition and overnight trip which he chaperoned.
