Springing forward and enjoying the wonders of the season
Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of mud.
Vote Bohachek, Colson to protect our freedoms
Today I cast my vote for Aaron Bohachek for Zone 3 Library Board. Boundary County residents deserve the right to decide for themselves what books they want to read. It is clear the other candidates don’t understand the purpose of the board and will use their positions to force their religious ideology on all library users, instead of preserving the rights and freedoms of citizens.

If you don't like the library, start your own
I suggest the people who have moved into Boundary County the last few years and dislike the public library's material, personal, and board policies start their own private library. You can have only the books and materials you want the members of your community to read and use.
Local EAA flying scholarships
Scholarships are available to local students wishing to take to the skies with their very own Private Pilot License. After another successful year of pancake breakfast fundraising, the Bonners Ferry chapter of Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is offering more scholarships for the 2020 year. The members thank all the people that supported our monthly breakfast fundraising activity throughout the 2019 summer. Not only the local community continued to support us, with additional advertising and good weather we had many people driving and flying from outside the area to attend our breakfast.

Writing contest
There is a writing contest going on and submissions should be turned in at Boundary County Library. Organizers ask community members to celebrate “reading and our library.” There are two topics to pick from, “What the library means to me” or “My favorite book in our library is, and why.”
Confessions of a Bathroom Reader
I can’t remember how old I was when I started taking my passion for reading behind the locked door of the family bathroom. Probably as soon as I learned to read, for it seemed like a waste of time to sit there doing nothing.

Let's get Woodward back where he belongs
Politics have never been top on my list of interests, but the numerous bills coming out of Boise do not reflect my rights or values. I never want guns in schools or music festivals. I don’t want armed militias walking the streets. I don’t want my tax dollars going to ludicrous lawsuits.
