It’s a busy upcoming week for the Bonners Ferry High school winter sports teams. Although a wrestling match and boys basketball game were both canceled, there is still plenty of action in the next seven days. Here’s what is on tap for the Badgers this week.
TeamsWin baseball and fast-pitch league open for registration
We’re only just now getting into the winter months in Northern Idaho, but before we know it, summer will be right around the corner. And with summer comes the TeamsWin fast-pitch softball and baseball leagues in Boundary County.
Badgers girls cruise to second, third wins
The Bonners Ferry High School girls basketball team handily won their second and third games of the season, sailing past Wallace 70-40 on Nov. 24 and easily beating Stillwater Christian 67-29 on Nov. 28.
Badgers take down Stillwater in season opener
The Bonners Ferry High School boys basketball team won its season opener on Saturday, beating Stillwater Christian 67-55 at home in the BFHS gym.

12th annual Turkey Trot to take place Thanksgiving morning
The Bonners Ferry Turkey Trot 5k/10k race will once again take place Thanksgiving morning for the 12th year in a row. The race will start and finish at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.
Boundary County Fair Board proposes increase in fairgrounds rental fees
The Boundary County Fair Board has proposed an increase in rental fees for the Boundary County Fairgrounds and its indoor facilities. If approved, the new rates would go into effect on January 1st, 2021.
BCMS honors citizens of the month, raises over $1,000 for veterans
Boundary County Middle School has announced its citizens of the month for the months of September and October. At BCMS, each month a specific character trait is emphasized, with those who best showcase that trait recognized for doing so.
